The Marketing on a Shoestring service was founded by Rick Perkins and is supported by a network of freelance experts and other small businesses.
We have skills in marketing planning, project management, graphic design, copywriting and editing, web design, e-mail marketing, print buying and management, photography, audio and video production and many other fields.
All the members of the network are freelancers or small businesses. Consequently, your billings won't reflect the high overheads typically associated with larger organisations. You just pay for what you need, with focused professionals putting the hours, and their enthusiasm, into your campaign.
Rick Perkins is the founder of the Marketing on a Shoestring service. He has 20 years experience in industry, most recently in telecoms as 3Com's Director of Channel Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In this role, he was instrumental in the development of 'Focus', 3Com's award-winning Channel Programme. He was directly responsible for channel strategy and marketing, with the objective of making 3Com's Focus programme the most innovative, committed and focused in the industry.
Rick graduated from Sussex University with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering. Since then he has gained a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Rick is married and in his spare time enjoys sailing and cycling. He is a former UK Champion in the Fireball and Musto Skiff class and has also won a Euro Cup event in the RS 200, sailing with his wife.
